Life changing product!?

The last month or so I have had clogged pores on my forehead, next to my brows. I've had some clogging before but never this extreme. I have a Clarisonic Mia (which I love) and I use it with Philosophy's Purity Made Simple cleanser. Using these two products wasn't fixing the problem though. I went into Priceline and looked for an AHA based product (also known as glycolic acid) which is good for clearing up red marks and helping stop oil production. The one I selected was Neostrata's Oily Skin Solution:

It is described as:
Clear clogged pores and remove excess oil from oily, acne-prone complexions with a skin toner solution formulated with Glycolic Acid for non-sensitive skin. It removes excess oil and sebum from oily or acne-prone skin. Plumps and hydrates, smoothes fine lines and wrinkles. Helps clear pores and is ideal for non-sensitive skin.
I've only been using this product for 3 days (which I know isn't long) but I am already seeing results. The clogged areas next to my brows have almost cleared up and my face seems less oily towards the end of the day. I use it once daily after cleansing with my Clarisonic. I have not experienced any side effects or reactions. My skin is looking better than it has for awhile!

I'll be sure to post back more on it once I've been using it for a few weeks. I purchased it for $37.95 from Priceline.

  1. Thanks for this review. I use a cleanser with glycolic acid but I still get clogged pores on my chin. I've been trying a clay mask on that area but it's not working, so this may be an option. I'm not sure if I'd be overdoing the AHA though!?

    1. You could try using it every other day? That's an option, I don't think it could do a lot of harm using two products with AHA in them. You could gently bring it in, maybe using it every other day and if your skin is reacting okay you could try it daily. I think it depends on the individuals skin. But I have found its worked nicely for me.
